The Ad Hoc Committee on Fossil Fuels of the Board of Trustees of the University of Pittsburgh invited the university community and public to provide comment related to its Charge at two Open Forums in October 2020. The Committee’s Charge includes providing the full Board of Trustees “options on whether, to what extent, and via what methods the University, in its Endowment, should consider divestment from fossil fuels in existing and/or future investments.” Read the full Ad-Hoc Committee Charge.
For the benefit of the Pitt community and this process, the Ad Hoc Committee is committed to transparency. Both Open Forums were transcribed and recorded to allow Committee members who cannot attend to the opportunity to hear and read comments received. Forum transcripts are available for both October 28 and October 30.
